Firstly, it is a gift of God that we receive by faith, it is the evidence that we completely trust in God. It is a clear proof that we are able to connect with God in a greater way. It shows that we have truly surrendered to God, which simply means those who pray in tongues are able to trust God 100% without analyzing things, trying to make sense of things, trying to figure out things from a limited perspective with the carnal mind.

Those who pray in tongues often are able to display a greater sense of humility. When we are able to surrender our tongue to God and trust him completely (our tongue is the most powerful part of our body) we're able to enter into a new dimension of prayer because of that trust. Little children trust their parents completely, it's the same with us, we must trust God, completely.

When we have received this gift and if we don't use this gift that has been given to us by God we are saying we desire our will more than his.

We are to desire HIS WILL over ours.
Desiring his will over ours is surrendering.

Having the gift of tongues and not praying in tongues is a sure way to hurt the one (JESUS) who paid the price for us all, hurt the Father who desires to commune with us daily in greater ways, hurt the Holy Spirit who desires to comfort us about everything and by not praying in tongues daily we are disabling the angelic armies of God to not do much for the kingdom of God through us and for the church.

So indeed we can see it's a VERY big deal when we don't pray in tongues often because we not only do all of that but we hurt and limit ourselves and the whole body of Christ also. So it's best to not condemn ourselves or anyone else for not praying in tongues or for not seeking the value of praying in tongues.

All we need to do is just ask God to forgive us (he is faithful and just to forgive us any second) and just ask him to fill us with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. It's that simple. God doesn't make it complicated, people do.

I Corinthians 14:18 - I thank God that I speak in [unknown] tongues more than all of you; AMP

Paul is really say "I thank my God I speak in tongues...the most." He wasn't trying to be better than everyone, no he was saying I am thankful for this gift and I desire to be useful for God anytime, anywhere and if possible always. He was so focused on praying in tongues he desired God's perfect will more than his other brothers and sisters in Christ.

Again not to try to out do them but to acknowledge his unwavering desire to please God well. To praise God well. To receive POWER so he can walk with God well. AMEN!
This is what we should desire. His will not ours.
Ask God everyday to use you in every way according to HIS perfect will in Jesus name.

Acts 2:4 - Day of Pentecost
"They were filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak in tongues, speaking wonderful words of God."

When we read Acts 10:45-46 we see that speaking in tongues is the supernatural sign that made Jews believe that the Gentiles could have fellowship with most high. AMEN!

I Corinthians 14:4 - One who speaks in a tongue edifies himself; but one who prophesies edifies the church [promotes growth in spiritual wisdom, devotion, holiness, and joy]. AMP

Tongues assists in the worship of God. Paul encourages the Corinthians to continue speaking in tongues in their worship of God. It also edifies yourself....charging yourself like a battery, with spiritual power. (The longer we pray in the spirit the better and the better we are, the more God can use us in greater ways so that the greater works can be released through us from God).

Jude 1:20 - But you, beloved, build yourselves up on [the foundation of] your most holy faith [continually progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], pray in the Holy Spirit.

You build "yourself up on your most Holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit.." It will not give you faith, but it will increase your faith to receive from God. Example: woman with bad stomach who could not keep anything down and was healed when she received the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is a plus no matter how we look at it. He is our helper, our comforter.

I Corinthians 14:2 - "He that speaks in unknown tongues speaks not unto men but unto God for no man understands him. How be it in the spirit, he speaks mysteries unto God."
(i.e.) He speaks divine secrets with his Father, supernatural communication with God (and the Devil cannot understand).

I Corinthians 14:14 - "For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prays. However my understanding is unfruitful."

When you pray in tongues, your spirit is in direct contact with God the Father of spirits.
Secondly, praying in tongues keeps us continually aware of the inward dwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. We must remember there is one greater than you and I who is present when we lose our temper. We must walk in love and forgive and forget others wrong doings and pray for them for our prayers to be answered.

If we walk in the flesh instead of praying in the spirit daily, we will not be conscience of His presence. Without the Holy Spirit, a Christian cannot fulfill their God ordain assignment. To be blunt, without the Holy Spirit, a Christian has little power, little faith and most (if not all) of their prayers will not be God’s perfect will, in his perfect timing (in his perfect plans).

The Holy Spirit is a very important part of our growth and development through life and he is utterly invaluable to the believer on all levels without measure because the Holy Spirit holds the keys to every believers rights, power, wisdom and dominion over the enemy. The Holy Spirit unlocks our purpose in life. The Holy Spirit reveals our mission in life.

Now we see why the devil wants Christians to be confused about praying in the spirit but if you are one who has been desiring God more in your life, desiring the things of God, desiring his heavenly language for you, you are at the right place at the right time. Please read further…

Romans 8:26 - In the same way the Spirit [comes to us and] helps us in our weakness. We do not know what prayer to offer or how to offer it as we should, but the Spirit Himself [knows our need and at the right time] intercedes on our behalf with sighs and groanings too deep for words.

Third, praying in tongues eliminates the possibility of selfishness entering our prayer life. For instance, if I ONLY pray out my own mind, it may not be scriptural and my thinking may be wrong. I could be like the old farmer prayer, "Bless me, my wife, my daughter and son, us four, no more.

This is what happens when we only pray out of our mind all of the time, the prayer circles will begin small, become smaller and stay circling yourself and immediate others in your life or far worse, those prayers will only circle around, ME, MYSELF and I."

Tongues focuses on the whole and not the singular only.

Tongues is not selfish at all but selfless.

It's also very important to know that praying in tongues is a vital part of the five fold ministry which makes up a balanced church.
The gifts of the Holy Spirit makes that all possible.

There Are 9 Gifts Of The Holy Spirit
We can find them in First Corinthians chapters 12 through 14.

We should NEVER turn down the POWER gifts, the REVELATION gifts and the VOCAL gifts which make up the 9 Gifts Of The Holy Spirit so that the five fold ministry can flourish. More on this further down.

There are 3 POWER gifts

These gifts "do" something and they are:
Working of miracles, the gift of faith and the gift of healing.

1. The working of miracles is the power of God coming on scene and changing natural forces.
2. The gift of faith is supernatural faith, beyond ordinary.
3. The gift of healings heals the sick, (plural), meaning different gifts heal different diseases.

IMPORTANT: All three POWER gifts are needed to raise someone from the dead.
Which are the supernatural faith to do it.
The miracle to raise them and the gift of healing so they don't die again of disease.

There are 3 REVELATION gifts.
These gifts "reveal" something and they are:
The word of wisdom, the word of knowledge and the gift of discerning of spirits.

1. The word of wisdom is fact or knowledge in mind of God that deals with future and may also tell you what to do about it.
2. Word of knowledge in mind of God that deals with past or present.
3. Discerning of spirits is seeing into the spirit world, what is going on behind the scenes.

There are 3 VOCAL gifts
These gifts are gifts that "say" something.
The gift of speaking of tongues, the gift of interpretation of tongues and the gift of prophecy.

1. Speaking in tongues, and there are 2, public and private.
Public - utterance speaks to men, not unto God; it is a sign to the unbeliever.
Private prayer language speaks to God, edifies yourself. The believer.
2. The interpretation of tongues is interpreting of utterance and equals prophecy or it can contain word of knowledge and or word of wisdom.
3. Prophecy is the simple gift for edification, exhortation and comfort; a sign to the believer.

All of these gifts encompass and make up the Five Fold Ministry.
Study the book of Ephesians chapter 4 verses 11 through 13.
The five fold ministry purpose is the ..." perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. Til, we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect (mature) man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ."

The five fold ministry encompasses: apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers.

For apostles, all 9 gifts seem to operate at one time or another.
Which are: the working of miracles, the gift of faith, the gift of healing, the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, the discerning of spirits, the gift of speaking in tongues, the gift of interpretation of tongues and the gift of prophecy.
Apostles starts ministries, churches, missionaries. They are messengers sent by God.

For prophets, 6 gifts seem to operate at one time or another.
Which are: the 3 vocal gifts, (speaking tongues, the interpretation of tongues and the gift of prophecy) plus the gifts of healing, the word of knowledge and the word of wisdom.
Prophets speaks for God; they are preachers of righteousness.

For evangelists, 4 gifts seem to operate at one time or another.
Which are: the 3 vocal gifts, (speaking tongues, the interpretation of tongues and the gift of prophecy) plus the gifts of healing.
Evangelists are bearers of glad tidings, they have the ability to get people saved.

For pastors, 5 gifts seem to operate at one time or another.
Which are: the 3 vocal gifts, (speaking tongues, the interpretation of tongues and the gift of prophecy) plus the word of knowledge and the word of wisdom.
Pastors, shepherd and show love for the flock.

For teachers, 3 gifts seem to operate at one time of another.
Which are: the 3 vocal gifts, speaking tongues, the interpretation of tongues and the gift of prophecy.
Teachers have supernatural knowledge to make known mysteries of God over and above those of a regular teacher.

Romans 8:26

" For we know not how to pray as we ought..." just because I know how to pray doesn't mean I always know what to pray for. "But the spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings that cannot be made in articulate speech."

Sometimes The Holy Spirit will take over you and you will be so lost in the spirit you will just lie on the floor and make intercession for someone... (unselfish prayers) and groanings will come out from your inner man and also when you are praying in tongues, the Holy Spirit is helping you pray according to the perfect will of God (unselfishly) about a matter.

The Holy Spirit sees the ice burg from top to bottom, through and through, 100% however we in the natural will only see the surface and with the ability of the Holy Spirit we can pray out the whole matter in ways we would never fathom even after careful observation in the natural. We are imperfect even with careful study however the Holy Spirit will never miss a beat.

Even greater than that The Holy Spirit sees the ice burg before it forms in the natural realm and with a clear hearing spirit we can avoid snares of the enemy before they spring up. All problems that are in the physical now is truly a spiritually matter and must be discerned and handled spiritually through the power of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is our comforter, counselor, helper, intercessor, strength and standby and when we yield, lean, rely on the Holy Spirit and allow Him to help us in prayer daily, He will always lead us in line with the word of God which is the will of God.
Praying in tongues is a way to pray about things we do not know about.

For example, Brother Hagin said " I was suddenly awakened in the night. It was as if the Spirit of God had awakened me. I said to the Holy Spirit in me 'You know everything, everywhere. Whatever is wrong, please give me utterance to pray about it.' So I prayed for an hour, then suddenly I began to laugh and sing and I knew whatever I had prayed about was taken care of'.' (NOTE: It was for his brother who was at death's door, and he prayed him out of it....he stopped the work of the Devil).

Romans 10:17 - "Remember faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God."
I Corinthians 14:15-16 - Praying to give thanks to God
"What is it then, I will pray in the Spirit. I will sing in the Spirit and I will sing with the understanding also.
It is very important to remember that by praying in tongues we are giving thanks to God WELL, meaning we cannot give GOD thanks any better than tongues. Tongues is the perfect way to pray.

Acts 1:8

"You shall receive POWER after the Holy Ghost has come upon you."

(A) POWER to pray for the sick
(B) POWER to witness for Christ
(C) POWER for carnal Christians to live better (greater influence, greater anointing, greater wisdom)
(D) POWER to receive revelation knowledge of the scriptures
(E) Sometimes POWER to receive other gifts which are:

The gift of wisdom - having the ability to make decisions and give guidance that is according to God's will.
The gift of knowledge - having the ability to have an in-depth understanding of a spiritual issue or situation.
The gift of faith - is being able to trust God and encourage others to trust God, no matter the circumstances.
The gift of healing - is the miraculous ability to use God's healing power to restore a person who is sick, injured, or suffering mentally, emotionally or physically.
The gift of miracles - is being able to perform signs and wonders that give authenticity to God's Word and the Gospel message.
The gift of prophecy - is being able to proclaim a message from God to other believers.

The gift of discerning spirits - is the ability to determine whether or not a message, person, or event is truly from God or from the devil.
Able to discern both good and evil.
To identify what's going on from the root, from the spirit realm.

The gift of tongues - is the ability to speak in a foreign language that you do not have knowledge of, communicating with God in heaven, giving Holy Ghost led commands to the angelic host in heaven or on earth for warfare, protection, etc., in short praying the perfect will of GOD and the devil has no idea how to defend against it. Tongues confuses the enemy and he cannot defeat a child of God who is constantly built up in their most holy faith, pray in the spirit. Tongues give the believer an superior advantage.

The gift of interpreting tongues - is the ability to translate the tongues speaking and communicate it back to others in your own language or another language for the edifying of the saints.

THESE TWO BELOW ARE NOT APART OF THE 9 GIFTS BUT ARE IMPORTANT ALSO...

The gift of administration - is being able to keep things organized and in accordance with God's principles which can be view as the gift of helps but these people have a gift of keeping things in place and running smoothly.

The gift of helps - is always having the desire and ability to help others, they have a burden to aid in any way possible, always on the ready to do whatever it takes to get a task accomplished.

It's great to just desire to be used by God and to free yourself daily for a set time for the Holy Spirit and just to pray according to God's perfect will daily. The helps ministry is quite possibly the largest ministry because any one can help with dedicated prayers, assisting at services and just being led by the Holy Spirit to plainly HELP out whenever help is needed.

The more we make ourselves available for God, the more we will see the hand of God in every area of our life, even into our whole family, all parts of our neighborhood and far, far beyond that.
There is no distance in the spirit so as far as you can imagine you can help through prayer effectively.
Praying in the spirit more everyday is key for us the body of Christ to experience more and more of God's unlimited POWER here on earth.
One person asked is it possible to stop the devil world wide?

YES INDEED, IF WE ALL WORKED AT IT! The Holy Ghost knows the future better than any one knows the past. The devil uses bad events which have happened, bad memories to cause fear from our past (or another's past) to try to stop us or delay from victory in an area. The Holy Ghost (praying in tongues) empowers us to move from our past into the future so that our present is secure.

The Holy Ghost is superior because time is beneath him.
He is with us and he is already there (in the future) at the same time.
So you see worshiping and following an almighty, all knowing, immutable,
omnipresent (everywhere at all times) God has it's benefits.

When the whole body of Christ prays in tongues more and more, placing God first, allowing the perfect will of God run out of all our mouth daily (the whole body of Christ) we as a whole can and by faith WILL freeze, lock up and kick out every evil spirit out of our cities and nations and keep them bound so that the gospel can be preached in ways we have never fathomed.
It may take so time but remember....
ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO THOSE WHO BELIEVE.

When we do this we as a whole, we will give no place for the devil therefore all his evil works would come to a halt and be suspended
(because of our united prayer in the Holy Ghost) because we would be commanding the perfect will of God as one.
THIS IS HUGE AND SOMETHING THIS WORLD NEEDS TO SEE.

Praying in tongues intensely with multiple believers is the birthing ground for revival and will undo, cancel and loosen the grip of many of the devil's snares and can cause a huge planetary change that has not been experienced before in our life time and we the body of Christ have the authority and power to cause that kind of change but it must be unified in spirit and truth,
being led by the Holy Spirit.

Remember 1 child of God (a faithful prayer warrior) puts 1,000 to flight
2 prayer warriors in agreement puts 10,000 to flight
3 prayer warriors in agreement puts 100,000 to flight
4 prayer warriors in agreement puts 1,000,000 to flight
5 prayer warriors in agreement puts 10,000,000 to flight
6 prayer warriors in agreement puts 100,000,000 to flight
7 prayer warriors in agreement puts 1,000,000,000 to flight
8 prayer warriors in agreement puts 10,000,000,000 to flight

Interestingly

The number 8 is very significant such that it is used 73 times in the Bible.
It is the symbol of Resurrection and Regeneration.
8 means new beginning; it denotes “a new order or creation, and man's true 'born again' event when he is resurrected from the dead into eternal life.”
Since 8 comes after 7, the number of completeness signifying an end to something, it implies 8 is associated with the beginning of a new era
or that of a new order.

Now some may ask who are we putting to flight?
Answer: the Devil & his demons or spiritual wickedness.
So if we can get at least 8 Holy Spirit filled, prayer warriors to be in agreement with one another, in every possible way (basically in tongues according to God's perfect will) that covers a great deal of territory since there are less than
8,000,000,000 (Eight Billion) people on earth.

Remember, when we pray we are praying for the people's salvation and affirming spiritual warfare (commanding in the name of Jesus) the
demons/devil behind those people, being used as pawns.

Imagine what will happen when the whole body of Christ (billions of us) come together as one praying in tongues nonstop around the clock. It is possible with the different time zones. It will paralyze the devil and all his demons on all fronts, every corner, every nation and nothing will be impossible for the body of Christ. Then we can and by faith WILL minister to all places with thee unlimited anointing of Jesus the messiah, the unlimited grace of God the Father, the unlimited POWER of El Elyon (God most high) through the Holy Ghost to do the impossible, daily.

We will see the POWER of God like never before, even far, far greater than when Satan was kicked out of heaven. We the body of Christ would basically render the devil harmless, ineffective, unfruitful spiritually until Jesus returns to have us all caught up to meet him in the air. HALLELUJAH!

We need to get and stay excited about tongues more and more and get other believers excited about it with sincere passion,
reference and devotion just like Jesus.

The POWER is within us. So it's not that we are waiting on God, indeed the opposite, God is waiting on us. This will only happen when the body of Christ decrees (in tongues) the perfect will of God as one. When this happens, that is when the churches will be flooded with sinners, back sliders and more begging to come in and hear the word of God, running to the altar for prayer, being filled with the Holy Ghost even greater than in the bible by the billions all around the world within months and even within weeks and the miracles of God can leap from where it has never leaped before on earth.

Thy will be done on earth JUST as it is in heaven! HALLELUJAH!
God is waiting on us. So let's not keep him waiting anymore and keep praying in tongues like never before and flood this planet with the
unlimited POWER of God within us all.

I take you at your word. I believe I receive what it says. I confess that Jesus is Lord over my life and I believe in my heart that you raised Jesus from the dead and He (Jesus) is in heaven now. Because of the Holy Spirit Jesus received power. I thank you father in heaven for giving me the Holy Spirit as you promised so that I will receive power.

Fill me now with the evidence of speaking with other tongues in Jesus name. Victory is mine right now and forever and I believe that and I declare that in the eternally victorious name of Jesus!
I am greatly blessed, highly favored and deeply loved in Jesus' name!
The wisdom of God is within me! Thank you Holy Spirit!

Through the Holy Spirit I can know what to do daily to receive the very best results in Jesus' name. I am connected to the best of the very best, therefore I can never fail because God is love and love never fails! I will not lie to myself any more and I forgive myself and everyone now.
I make a quality choice to forgive and love myself and to forgive and love everyone else right now this second in Jesus name!

I can have what I say in Jesus name therefore I choose to forgive and forget every hurt from the past with the help and power of the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit, come into my life. Do something with my life according to your perfect will.
By faith I trust I have the Holy Spirit NOW!

I am of the Most High GOD! I am not of the devil. I am not connected to the spirit of fear! I am connected to POWER, LOVE and a SOUND MIND! GOD HAS NOT GIVEN ME A SPIRIT OF FEAR! I DON'T BELONG TO FEAR!
Spirit of fear, Satan, I am not yours! I belong to the MOST HIGH GOD!
I bind you and cast you out of my life in Jesus name.

Spirit of fear, you are a liar! I will not doubt before I believe anymore!
I will use my child-like faith and claim every blessed truth that is rightfully mine to have! I will use discernment and be led by the Holy Spirit and get Jesus producing results today! Spirit of fear your days of hurting me and delaying my blessings are over! Victory is mine right now in Jesus name.

My connections are through Jesus! JESUS IS LORD OVER MY LIFE!
HALLELUJAH! My connections are eternally blessed and I will speak in tongues this day, right now in the name above all names,
in Jesus name amen!"

~ Now this is important, begin to speak boldly. Praise God by starting off saying, "HALLELUJAH, THANK YOU JESUS, THANK YOU HOLY SPIRIT, I LOVE YOU, THANK YOU FOR LOVING ME AND THANK YOU FOR FILLING ME WITH POWER, LOVE AND A SOUND MIND," OVER AND OVER and then allow the Holy Spirit to speak through you, trusting him. You do the speaking, meaning you move your lips but the Holy Spirit will say the words.
Let his perfect love language for just you come out of your mouth.

But don't think about it. It's not coming from your from your head but from your spirit. Get your head out of the way! Again it's not coming from your thoughts so don't attempt to think about what to say!

Again don't think about it because its an unknown tongue, so by not knowing what to say is perfect. That's where you want to be. JUST BOLDLY SPEAK.
It may start off with just sounds, then 1 or few words, laughter, a great sense of peace will come and just stay with it, RUN WITH IT by faith, let the river flow, keep it up and keep speaking out your new unknown language in Jesus name!

The POWER of WORDS
Our Mouth Is A Powerful Force We Must Use Wisely

Words are powerful especially our own words that we speak out of our own mouths. When we speak words of life, love & more into our life, we will reap the benefits of that life that we speak. The spiritual realm is where it all begins and our words that we speak taps into the spiritual realm all the time!

The words we speak everyday either help us (or others) or hurt us (or others).
We are made in the image and likeness of GOD and everything that GOD was done by words. Words are the birthing ground for our future.
We are the prophet of our own life and it's best to say what GOD loves to answers and not just what he loves to answer but what he has sworn to answer.

HIS WORD.

Our Christian affirmations/declarations will be an excellent addition to your daily prayer and bible readings.

We must know that what we have is because we called it in, you expected it to come. Don't like it, call in what Jesus redeemed us from (the curse) and into (the blessing). JESUS redeemed us from the curse being made a curse for us.

(Study Galatians 3:13-14).

Your mind set needs to be renewed with the word of God. Words paint the picture of what you will live like so paint it in the name of Jesus with words that line up with the word of GOD from the bible.

Only when we are 100% convinced of this without doubting/wavering and remaining steadfast, determined (single minded) believing even under pressure, that is when miracles will take place.
Be an overcomer and expect results.

We can't change what people say into our life but we can change the words WE declare over our life. The words WE hear and repeat are the most important anyway because they leave the greatest impact.
Make sure you are hearing and saying what God says about you.

It's not just because you say it, (this is important)
